Can you hack your health?
Biohack it in fact?
I’ve been seeing this trend emanate from the tech industry.
Health is a market to be “disrupted” and techies want “hacks” to increase energy and productivity.
I view all of this with something of a degree of snark.
The idea that you can “hack” biology is completely absurd to anyone with any kind of science background. Or better yet anyone with a fucking clue.
You cannot “hack” exercise any better than modern medicine can currently “cure” cancer, and guess what, WE CANNOT DO EITHER, allegedly.
To be blunt, this trend is total bullshit.
It is essentially an evolved version of “magic pill” thinking.
Whereas the average consumer wants to solve their obesity with a magic diet and magic pill and magic exercise routine, the out of touch tech executive wants a magic hack for magical energy and magical food for magical vitality.
Why? Because money can buy them anything, right?
None of these things exist and both of you are delusional.
Looking to bio-hack your biology when you can’t even do a pull-up or eat a vegetable is so utterly misguided I cannot adequately express it.
If you want amazing energy, incredible stamina, “bullet proof” immunity, laser sharp focus, do all of the following:
- Drink water
- Eat vegetables and protein
- Lift weights and be as strong and as muscular as possible
- Sleep 7-8 hours a night
- Do cardio and keep your cardiovascular health in prime shape
If you can do all the above, then any supplements and nootropics will be greatly enhanced in their effectiveness.
if you cannot do any of the above, and being asked to run a mile will kill you, well then you’ve got your work cut out for you.
There are no secrets, just work that you are either willing or unwilling to do.
Be willing.
