Some people study optimization. Chris Zant lives it - and has the receipts.
At 54, Chris is 212 pounds at under 10% body fat, preparing for his first masters bodybuilding competition. He has completed two 1,000-mile Ride Across Britain cycling events, along with many 100 – 150mile one day rides. He’s also a regular in the grueling Triple Bypass in Colorado, riding over 120 miles and climbing more than 10,000 feet in a single day. This is not a guy who coaches from a distance. He is in the arena, running the same protocols, doing the same labs, making the same hard calls his clients face.
But the fitness credentials are only half the story.
Chris is a Senior Principal at one of the world’s Big 4 consulting firms, where he’s spent the last 33 years advising clients and delivering solutions that connect patients, biopharmaceutical companies, providers, regulators, and payors to accelerate drug development and move the industry toward integrated digital health. For three decades he has advised C-suite leaders and high-performing professionals on how to deliver complex, high-stakes systems to the market. That background is not incidental to his coaching. It is the foundation of it.
Chris’s personal optimization journey began the hard way with a debilitating lower back injury in his early 30s. He was given a choice between surgery and a grueling multi-year conservative rehabilitation and chose the harder path. He rebuilt from the ground up and arrived at a body that could ride across an entire country on a bike. Along the way, Chris made an honest reckoning – no amount of exercise compensates for poor sleep, poor nutrition, and high alcohol consumption — and rebuilt his entire lifestyle from the ground up.
In 2022, Chris encountered Jay Campbell’s work and recognized immediately that the missing layer of his optimization stack was hormonal and peptide based. What followed was three years of deep, disciplined immersion: mastering testosterone optimization, therapeutic peptides, metabolic flexibility, insulin-controlled living, and the full biological feedback architecture that defines truly advanced optimization. Chris earned his stripes, under Jay mentorship, and is now Jay’s Lead FFO Coach and the chief author of Jay’s Coaching Optimization Program – a comprehensive curriculum set to be the most rigorous optimization coaching framework available anywhere when released later this year.
Chris coaches clients the way he would want to be coached: evidence-grounded, unapologetically direct, and built around the individual’s biology — not a template. He brings the analytical framework of a world-class consultant, the lived experience of a competitive athlete and endurance cyclist, and three years of elite mentorship under one of the most respected voices in the optimization world.

When used properly, peptides balance, improve performance, and support long-term wellness, helping the body heal itself at a deeper level.
