“ANOTHER New Fat Loss Agent On The Market?!”
With the recent unveiling of the compound that most of us throughout the fitness and bodybuilding communities are quickly coming to know and love as SLU-PP-332 (or “SLOOP” as we like to pronounce it) is challenging everything we’ve known about weight loss and fitness capacity up to this point in time.Â
To be honest, I had my doubts when I first heard about this supposed “super-hero” research chemical.Â
But as the self-experimenting biohacker aficionado I am, I had to try my hand with the latest and greatest, and thought I’d share some of what I’ve researched, learned, and experienced on my own thus far.Â
I won’t waste time qualifying myself in this write-up because if you’ve been a part of the Fully Optimized Health community for any period of time, you know that I have a more pronounced understanding of all this “Total Human Optimization” stuff than most. Â
For those who don’t already know, I’m a straight up dork when it comes to reading, researching, and soaking up every ounce of information I can find from any and all of what or who I consider to be reputable sources of intel.
I take it all in, distill it down to what I subjectively determine to be objective truth and then I use it for size myself, a la self-experimentation.Â
I’ll cite sources of information here but please understand SLU-PP-332 is still so early in its life-cycle that scientific publications on this research chemical are few in numbers.Â
For this reason alone, much is still yet to be discovered about this compound of seemingly mythic proportion.Â
This is simply a summary of my findings, what I’ve stacked it with, and how my experiences align with some of the early research. Â
Jay Campbell and Hunter Williams delivered a wonderful presentation of SLU-PP-332 recently and while I’ll reference some of this, I’ll also piggyback off of it with some of my own learnings.Â

What is SLU-PP-332 and What Does It Do?
SLU-PP-332, unlike any other Golden Age agent found in our repertoire of compounds to date, is an Estrogen-Related Receptor (ERR) agonist.Â
(NOTE: ERRs are a group of receptors responsible for orchestrating a variety of functions throughout our bodies)Â
ERRs are highly expressed in tissues with the highest energy demands such as skeletal muscle, the heart, brain, kidneys, liver, and both white and brown adipose tissue.
Because these ERRs are so highly expressed in our highest energy demand tissues, this means that whenever you take SLU-PP-332, it’s directly fueling the areas of our bodies that need it most, not only for fitness or training purposes, but for healthful living itself.Â
This quite specifically is why one of its many downstream effects is as a mitochondrial enhancer and exercise mimetic.
“Mimics” The Health Benefits Of Exercise
SLU-PP-332 is an exercise mimetic that significantly boosts aerobic and muscular endurance by enhancing mitochondrial respiration and biogenesis.Â
This means the very act of consuming SLU-PP-332 “tells” skeletal muscle to make the same changes you would ordinarily see during endurance training.Â
Even in sedentary people, SLU-PP-332 activates genes which are otherwise only activated by acute aerobic exercise.
SLU-PP-332 is seemingly the holy grail of performance enhancing supplements because of this quality alone.
I don’t know what you’re thinking as the reader, but I hope its something along the lines of “HOLY F*CK, SLOOP is astonishing and absolutely incredible in its performance enhancing effects”.Â
Now, this doesn’t mean you can take SLU-PP-332, sit on your butt and see performance gains, but it does mean your results will be directly and dramatically amplified with physical exertion.
But let’s also not disregard the actual increase in exercise endurance during the mouse studies that helped normal-weight mice run 45% further and 70% longer than they could before:
“In their latest research, the team tested the drug on obese mice.Â
Treating obese mice twice a day for a month caused them to gain 10 times less fat than untreated mice and lose 12% of their body weight.Â
Yet the mice kept eating the same amount of food and didn’t exercise anymore.”Â
Think about that for a moment.
Obese mice who were supplemented with SLOOP 2x per day lost 10% of their body weight without exercise, and in the presence of excess calories that normally kept them obese?
All I can say is WOW!
SLU-PP-332 also notably increased the mice’s type IIa oxidative skeletal muscle fibers.Â
Type II muscle fibers (aka fast twitch muscle fibers) consist of those used for short, powerful bursts of energy such as the chest, biceps, triceps, quadriceps, and glutes, in humans.
In other words, these muscle fibers are responsible for generating maximum force production in your upper body when performing resistance training.
What physique athlete, biohacker or body builder wouldn’t want that? Â
Enhances Mitochondrial Health
SLU-PP-332 boosts aerobic and muscular endurance by enhancing mitochondrial respiration and biogenesis.
It supercharges your cells’ energy factories, making them produce more power.Â
Simply put, having more and bigger mitochondria (mitochondrial biogenesis and respiration) means your cells have more energy to keep you going strong! Â
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think we would reach a point where targeting our mitochondria to enhance performance would be a reality.Â
Let alone a reality by which we have so many ways to access doing so.Â
What a time to be alive!
Burns Body Fat
The amount of fat oxidation and lipolysis that takes place with SLU-PP-332, even in my own anecdotal self-experimentation, is more superior than anything we’ve seen or heard of up to this point in time.Â
Ever since GLP-1 Peptides hit the scene, to be honest.
Only you don’t have to inject it and it doesn’t affect your appetite at all.Â
What about the half-life?Â
According to the research it’s 1.8 hours in the liver, 1.5 hours in blood serum levels, and 1-hour in skeletal and cardiac muscle.Â
So, time your training sessions accordingly.
Cardioprotective Against Heart Failure
More cutting edge research on SLU-PP-332 further exemplifies the power of ERR agonism as a “switch to flip” to improve the functioning of a variety of biological systems.
For instance, in a 2021 study published by the American Heart Association, the following experiment on heart failure was conducted:
“Transaortic constriction (TAC) was performed to induce heart failure in adult male mice who were then treated with two structurally distinct pan-ERR agonists, SLU-PP-332 (332) and SLU-PP-915 (915).Â
332 treatment significantly improved ejection fraction and mitochondrial ultrastructure, and reduced the expression of Nppa/Nppb and cardiac fibrosis in mice after 6-week TAC.Â
…Further analysis using transcriptomics and metabolomics approaches revealed that 332/915 upregulated oxidative phosphorylation and fatty acid metabolism pathway in vitro.
…332/915, mainly through ERRÎł, elevate mitochondrial function and fatty acid metabolism leading to improved cardiac function in TAC-induced heart failure, suggesting ERR agonist holds potential as a heart failure therapeutic agent.”
While studies like these are still in their infancy with many more on the way, it is clear we will soon be able to use SLU-PP-332 outside of the realms of exercise performance.Â
Improving the functioning and health of the body’s most critical tissues and organs is perhaps of even greater (and more relevant) benefit to humanity.
Other Benefits of SLU-PP-332
Not only does SLU-PP-332 appear to be the exercise in a pill we have all been dreaming of but the early research shows promising results related to its ability to potentially:
- Preserve lean muscle mass through improved nutrient partitioning
- Increase insulin sensitivity and improves glucose management by increasing uptake into skeletal muscle during exercise, thereby promoting metabolic efficiency
- Improve longevity potential through its alleviation of metabolic syndrome, improvement of cardiovascular health, and its kidney protective effects
Clearly, more clinical research and human experimentation must be conducted before we can conclusively validate these apparent benefits, but the data is extremely promising thus far.
David’s Personal Experience With Using SLU-PP-332
Not everyone will get these same results from SLU-PP-332 because there IS a lifestyle rooted in optimization that goes into supporting all of this.
But there’s no two ways about it: SLU-PP-332 just hits different than other performance enhancing supplements.
Improved Endurance During Cardiovascular Exercise
In nearly 6 weeks of use, I’ve experienced all of this in droves as I just flat out can’t get tired anymore…or even breathe hard during cardio for that matter… it just feels easy, somehow.
I would like it to when I first combined Albuterol and GW-0742, but without the shaky handed jitters and better in every way.Â
Strength Gains During Resistance Exercise
I don’t necessarily feel a burst of energy or surge of strength, I can just keep going, whether it be for those last couple reps or that last mile or two, and doing so feels very natural.Â
I’ve always had strong hands but my grip strength has skyrocketed during training to positive muscular failure.Â
I don’t necessarily notice a dramatic increase in strength capacity but I AM certainly stronger than normal, showcased by my ability to squeeze out 2-3 more reps than I ordinarily can with a given weight.Â
Increased Perspiration
And the sweat, the sweating was absolutely insane during my first week of use.Â
Not only in the amount that poured from my pores while training but in how quickly I started sweating.Â
After that first week, I still sweat more than normal but it’s not quite as extreme anymore.Â
I do start sweating way quicker than usual though, which feels different, because I’ve always been someone who may sweat a little while going hard but it isn’t until after I finish training (or playing in a game when I was younger) that I’d start really noticeably sweating.Â
Even then, it wasn’t some crazy amount until SLU-PP-332 entered the scene. Â
Up-regulated Nutrient Partitioning
As far as nutrition goes, I tend to regularly float in and out of ketosis, maintaining a low intake of healthy carbohydrates timed in accordance with, and proportionate to, pre and post resistance training meals.Â
Because of this, I typically don’t crave a whole lot of carbohydrates.Â
That said, I’m noticing that SLU-PP-332 has me, not wanting, but “needing” more carbohydrates than I typically do.Â
And it’s not a cookies and ice cream craving either; my body feels like it actually needs fuel in the form of clean carbohydrates more than normal, which I largely attribute to the improvement in nutrient partitioning and exercise endurance from the SLU-PP-332.
Enhanced Insulin Sensitivity
I’ve especially noticed SLU-PP–32 work in the way of skeletal muscle glucose uptake and improvement in insulin sensitivity.Â
I’m a Type-1 diabetic with Addison’s disease and hypothyroidism since the age of 17 (yes, the metabolic triple threat over here).Â
I have an insulin pump and wear a continuous glucose monitor 24 hours per daym 365 days per year.Â
Whereas I used to be able to do cardio for 45 minutes before my blood sugar would start to tank, which was nice because that’s how long I typically do cardio for, it now tanks by the 20 minute mark and I have to have some fast acting glucose on hand during my sessions if I want to keep going.
And I definitely want to keep going, now more than ever!Â
One might ask if there are diminishing returns for a diabetic in using SLU-PP-332?Â
The answer is a resounding “NO”! Â
I require less insulin before and after meals than I’ve required for the past many years and my results thus far speak louder than words.Â
I do have to be more on top of my blood sugar management now that I’m using a compound that’s alters the reality of doing so but the positives far outweigh the negatives. Â
Better Body Composition and Thicker Fast Twitch Muscles
My body composition and aesthetics of my physique have peaked in a way I’ve never quite experienced in 29 years of training thus far, let alone in my 40s.Â
The muscle separation in my chest and biceps, and the striations in my deltoids and obliques are like nothing I’ve personally ever achieved, even at my past lowest sub-10% body fat levels.Â
I walk around fully fed and hydrated with a more dried out, saran wrapped look than I ever have before.Â
And that’s WITH the increased healthy carbohydrate intake and no other dietary changes to speak of.Â
How To Dose SLU-PP-332 For Optimal Results
I’ve personally been using SLU-PP-332 at 500mcg per day split into two doses.
The first dose 250mcg in the morning while fasted about 30 minutes pre-cardio and weight training (based on my life schedule, I usually get all my training in in the morning).
Then I’ll take another 250mcg in the afternoon about 90 minutes after lunch when I have some space between digesting lunch and eating dinner.Â
I notice that I do get some hot flashes after my afternoon dose, even when not training, which is a really crazy sensation to have as a man.Â
Jay and Hunter have the dosing range at 200-1,500mcg which I’m 100% aligned with and will test the limits of as weeks go on.Â
This is just my experience thus far.Â
An Experimental SLU-PP-332 Stack For Ultra-Fast Fat Loss
Here is a stack I AM testing out right now.
I would personally split the doses of these compounds 50/50, one before cardio and and one before weight training if I did them at different times during the day.
- SLU-PP-332 – 500mcg daily, split into 2 even doses (200-1,500mcg is Jay and Hunter’s range)
- Methylene Blue – 20mg-90mg (20mg for women, 90mg for men) taken 3x per week around planned sun exposure for further mitochondrial upregulation and photobiomodulation purposes
