5 Peptide Stacks You Should Know About
With countless peptides and combinations available, it can be overwhelming to know where to start.
To simplify things, here are five all-star peptide stacks that have gained popularity among health enthusiasts for their effectiveness.
These combinations feature peptides with proven abilities to stimulate muscle growth, accelerate fat burning, enhance recovery, slow aging, and sharpen cognition:
1. Best Peptide Stack for Muscle Growth
When I wrote my article on peptides for muscle growth, I mentioned they weren’t the best agents around for building muscle.
Every muscle-building peptide fundamentally focuses on improving secretion of human growth hormone (HGH), increased production of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), or inhibiting production of myostatin.
However, the real pro-level bodybuilders are not using peptides for this purpose… their three go-to’s are almost always pharma-grade HGH, anabolic steroids, and pure IGF-1.
Moreover, these peptides will be useless if you:
- Do not consistently maintain a caloric surplus
- Do not train to positive muscular failure using progressive overload
- Do not allow for adequate rest and recovery via proper sleep and “off” days
With all of this being said, the two best peptide stacks for muscle growth to date are below.
Best Peptide Stack for Muscle Growth #1:
- 5-Amino 1MQ – 50- 150 mg taken daily with foodย for 20-30 days, followed by a 1-2 week break before resuming another cycle
- HGH – 1.5-3.0 IU’s per day (1-2 IU’s for women) on a “5 days on, 2 days off” weekly schedule for 6 months maximum before taking a 2-3 month break (NOTE: Avoid food consumption 30 minutes before and 1.5 hours after your HGH dose)
These two bodybuilding peptides are the only ones I know of for reliably increasing lean muscle mass.
But not everyone can legally access pharma-grade HGH in the form of Norditropin or Genotropin, the two best HGH formulations currently available.
If you find yourself in this situation, there is another best peptide stack you can take instead.
Best Peptide Stack for Muscle Growth #2:
- 5-Amino 1MQ – see dosing instructions in “Best Peptide Stack For Muscle Growth #1”ย
- CJC-1295 without DAC – 200 mcg injected subcutaneously every day on a “5 days on, 2 days off” weekly schedule for 8-10 weeks and then an equal amount of time “off cycle”ย
- Ipamorelin – 200 mcg injected subcutaneously every day on a “5 days on, 2 days off” weekly schedule for 8-10 weeks and then an equal amount of time “off cycle”ย
CJC-1295 is the growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) and Ipamorelin is the growth hormone releasing peptide (GHRP), both of which work synergistically to optimize your body’s release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland.
The GHRH releases a natural pulse of HGH in conjunction with your body’s own biorhythms, and then the GHRP comes in to further amplify the pulse.
The GHRP also counteracts the effects of somatostatin, which inhibits HGH secretion commonly seen when using a GHRH by itself.
I put this stack in second place because using CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin together will cause water retention in your subcutaneous fat.
Additionally, both peptides are far more useful as agents for fat loss than agents for muscle growth.
I would highly recommend using either peptide stack – especially the second one – in combination with therapeutic testosterone if you are serious about inducing anabolism.
2. Best Peptide Stack for Lean Mass
This section may seen like a repetition of the previous one, but here I want to focus on minimizing fat gain while you are attempting to build muscle.
There is no point in becoming a mass monster if you pack on an equivalent amount of body fat and fail to maintain a lean physique.
Yes, that means you can’t take on ridiculous 10,000 calorie challenges, use bodybuilding peptides in conjunction, and expect to put on no additional weight.
You will inevitably put on SOME fat, yet you do not want to put on more than necessary.
Eating yourself to death for 3-6 months and then starving yourself for 3-6 months is how many people find themselves in an unhealthy “bulk and cut” cycle that can contribute to muscle dysmorphia and eating disorders.
For this reason, the best peptide stack for lean mass would effectively be theย “Best Peptide Stack For Muscle Growth #1” in combination with my god stack for fully optimized health… specifically testosterone, dessicated thyroid, and Metformin.
3. Best Peptide Stack for Anti-Aging
As we age, cellular senescence accumulates, driving inflammation, tissue dysfunction, and age-related diseases.
Strategically combining peptides that target hallmarks of aging could help slow this process for greater longevity.
Here are three peptide stacks with anti-aging potential:

4. Best Peptide Stack for Fat Loss
While peptides face a roadblock when building muscle, they are WAY more effective when it comes to shredding stubborn body fat.
(NOTE: Much like gaining lean muscle gain, fat loss peptides are useless unless you are biohacking weight loss through modalities such as smart nutrition, rigorous cardio, stress management, etc.)
Raising your metabolic rate, suppressing your appetite, restoring insulin sensitivity to normal, and eliminating cravings are the four ways in which these peptides operate to make the process of losing weight faster and easier.
Some peptides specialize in just one of these things while others are all-rounders and provide some degree of all four fat loss mechanisms.
There are three peptide stacks for fat loss I can think of and they will be listed in order of most preferred to least preferred (although all three of them are highly effective).
Best Peptide Stack for Fat Loss #1:
- Semaglutide – 0.25 mg injected subcutaneously once a week, increasing by 0.25 mg every 4 weeks up to a maximum of 2.4 mg or until you experience maximum satiety
- AOD-9604 – 300 mcg injected subcutaneously once a day in the morning while fasted (1 hour before the first meal of the day, or right before cardio)
While AOD-9604 is available for purchase (see the end of this article), Semaglutide is a prescription medication and will require a doctor’s script in order to obtain it legally.
If you can get access to pharma-grade Semaglutide, this should be your go-to fat loss peptide stack.
Best Peptide Stack for Fat Loss #2:
- Tesamorelin – 1 mg injected subcutaneously right before bed on a “5 days on, 2 days off” weekly schedule for 6-8 weeks before taking a break of an equal length
- Ipamorelin – 100 mcg injected subcutaneously first thing in the morning and 100 mcg injected right before bed on a “5 days on, 2 days off” weekly schedule for 6-8 weeks before taking a break of an equal length
Similar to CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin, we are employing the use of a GHRH (Tesamorelin) and GHRP (Ipamorelin) to mimic the effects of taking 1-2 IU’s of HGH.
But in the same vein, water retention is one of the side effects you may experience (but it’s a worthwhile tradeoff compared to the increased strength and energy you experience).
Unfortunately, just like Semaglutide, Tesamorelin is also a prescription-only drug that’s commonly given to HIV patients.
So this stack is reserved for people who have the kind of connections and money needed to gain access to Tesamorelin.
Best Peptide Stack for Fat Loss #3:
- CJC-1295 without DAC – see dosing instructions in “Best Peptide Stack For Muscle Growth #1”ย
- Ipamorelin – see dosing instructions in “Best Peptide Stack For Muscle Growth #2”ย
If you look online at bodybuilding forums, this seems to be the most popular peptide stack for weight loss used by high-level competitors.
The peptides are easy to purchase from a reliable supplier at a reasonable cost and they have been extensively studied to ensure their side effects are mild and rare.
Regardless of which of the 3 peptide stacks you choose, make sure you’re following a robust fat loss regimen.

5. Best Peptide Stack for Cutting
While the last section was focused on general fat loss, this final section will be about what I believe to be HANDS-DOWN the best peptide stack for moderately lean people who want to get that “peeled” look seen on fitness magazine covers.
I am currently using this stack for myself and it helps me easily stay below 7% body fat year-round.
Out of all the available peptides for weight loss, the three peptides below are tip-of-the-spear for maximizing stubborn body fat loss.
Best Peptide Stack for Cutting #1:
- Tirzepatide – 2.5 mg injected subcutaneously once a week
- Tesofensine – 0.5 mg taken orally first thing in the morning every day while fasted
- HGH – see dosing recommendations in “Best Peptide Stack For Muscle Growth #1”
To be clear… this peptide stack is NOT for fatties and training newbies.
A stack like this must be used by somebody who is experienced in both intense dieting and training, AND has the financial and legal means to consistently use them for a period of 1-3 months.

A Third-Generation Drug Thatโs Better Than Tirzepatide?
Before I close out this article, I want to very briefly tease what I believe has already ascended Tirzepatide with respect to faster body weight loss, greater metabolic uncoupling and stronger appetite reduction.
Christopher Mercer of Limitless Life Nootropics gave me the heads up about a new compound currently in Phase II trials being developed by pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly, the same company that manufactured Tirzepatide.
It currently goes by two names: The brand name “Retatrutide” and its code name “LY3437943”.
What makes Retatrutide unique is that it targets THREE receptors.
Semaglutide targeted the receptor glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), and Tirzepatide targeted both the GLP-1 receptor and glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide (GIP) receptor.
This potentially all-powerful weight loss drug tackles GLP-1 and GIP receptors while also targeting the body’s glucagon receptors.
Supposedly, what this does is give the drug a DIRECT effect on energy expenditure (unlike its predecessors).
We effectively have a lowering of appetite from GLP-1, improved fat clearance with GIP, and a higher metabolic rate with the glucagon receptor.
Take a look at this early preclinical study done in mice and tell me your mind isn’t BLOWN AWAY:

Tirzepatide is in blue and Retatrutide is in red — not only is the total weight loss significantly larger, but the majority of weight loss is pure fat.
In a Phase 1 clinical trial, Retatrutide led to a mean body weight loss of up to 8.96 kg after a study period of 12 weeks.
To put this in context: When Tirzepatide was evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial, the body weight loss ranged from 7.0 kg to 9.5 kg after a study period of 40 weeks.
Now, it may be too early to jump the gun.
On top of needing Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials before official FDA approval, we need to see Retatrutide go head-to-head against Semaglutide and Tirzepatide so we can compare the weight loss and changes in obesity-related biomarkers directly.
I’ll also need to find a way to access this peptide so I can try it out for myself.
But the future of weight loss medications has never looked brighter, especially given the many failed drugs that came before it.
